383423 2005-08-24 09:52:00 Since last night my international traffic has been slow. By slow i mean pages taking minutes to load. ICQ and MSN frequently disconnect me from thier servers, and some pages dont load at all.

Local traffic is just fine.

I'm on a cable modem in CHCH.

Is it just me or are others experiancing this?

383424 2005-08-24 11:38:00 Me too!

Over the past few days, its been off the boil. and over the past few weeks its been dodgy with slow spots.

Cable in chch as well.

383425 2005-09-05 22:13:00 Still the same. I've noticed that Limewire traffic screams in and out, but the international websites seem S-L-O-W. One wonders if there is a proxy server somwhere that is regurgitating the international sites at it's own rate?

I also wonder if this is effecting all NZ Paradise/TelstraClear users, be it cable, DSL, or dial up, or just CHCH cable users?

"Traitoring" off to other sites is not too easy at the moment. I usually follow links through /. (http://slashdot.org/) , but not allways. The BBC site is so S-L-O-W that images don't usually load :(

The only sites that load quickly seem to be either local (with the exception of ***) and blog/journal type sites I assume that these more dynamic sites bypass proxy servers because of thier everchanging nature?

383428 2005-09-06 07:23:00 Brand new to cable, yesterday. Most sites load in the blink of an eye for me, the rest load in two or three blinks. Murray P (44)

"The document contained no data" infact few documents "contained data" . . . .

Now they are just back to being a tad slow again . :groan:

Again, it's only websites effected, and only international ones .
