| 384199 | 2005-08-28 01:12:00 | The last burn-down, I had saved a lot of personal music from WMP10 as mp3's. Before the "spring cleaning" (of XP-Pro) I saved them all on cd's. Now they won't go back into the WMP. Windows wants to see them as one file on each cd, and I want them to just be returned as they were. Each cd has many cuts on them and if they are now just one file, that makes it kinda hard to seperate them into the playlist. I tried "explore" on each cd, but there is only one huge, fat, gigantic file...no individual cuts. :D Any ideas? |

If it has individual tracks on your CD player you should be able to rip each track again without having them all joined together. As an alternative to WMP you could try using iTunes (www.apple.com). However, I would not recommend converting between formats all the time. Pick you favourite format (I'd recommend using AAC), encode them, and leave them like that. :) |

I generated a shortcut to the cd-rw and then just dragged the files to the icon and let Windows have it's way with them . . . bad, huh? I might just have to put them into a special playlist and just be happy to hear them once in a while as a non-editable file . . . Maybe, I can just selectively cue up each one individually and save them one-by-one again as seperate files . . . . . gads! Is there a smilie for a dumbass here . . . . . . . . . . . . rolleyes: yuck: waughh: cool: lol: angry dogeye: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . looking . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . nope! |
