| 384078 | 2005-08-27 05:48:00 | I've just experienced the joys of hidden partitions :annoyed: What I've done is used Partiton Magic to create a hidden partition . Stupidly it's been set to be in the first part of the drive, and it takes up all of the space on the drive . So now I'm stuck with a hard drive that can't be installed to ;_; Windows NT install sees it as a partition that takes up everything, but with no drive number, so it can't be installed to . FDISK dosen't see it, so I can't delete it, and the partition magic emergency boot CDs aren't wonderfully helpful (They don't boot either) . The Ultimate Boot CD dosen't help, as all the tools won't run . So I'm wondering, is there a free tool out there that can run from a CD, that'll allow me to unhide hidden partitions? :help: Thanks very much Edward |
