384328 2005-08-29 21:16:00 The problem as I see it is that the motherboard doesn't have true sATA support which is why you needed to use the floppy driver during the Windows install. Therefore Windows now knows it has this drive attached.
You say you use a floppy to do the ASR thing - then it is looking for a drive as defined by the BIOS - not an additional driver and can't find it.
I think you either have to stick with IDE or get a board with true sATA suppport.
There was a thread earlier about Image programs and sATA. Ghost 2003 for instance works fine if you use it with the noide switch for these type of motherboards with sATA. You might need to do something similar.

This Albatron KX600S motherboard was swapped into my computer from a MSI KTAV motherboard, which I accidentally damaged knocking off two inductors while trying two insert a heatsink on the CPU. (tired working late at night with not enough light)
Anyway I might see about Ghost 2003 or others.
About this KT4AV motherboard. I see you are a PC technician, do you have the resources to replace two inductors if I sent the motherboard to you or could you refer me to anyone. I would like a quote on the cost if possible, to see if it is worth it, to then sell it. Even if I can only just get back what it cost. It is a shame to wast a motherboard because of two inductors.
