2005-08-28 07:47:00 | Welcome to PressF1 :) It may be possible that the newer ATI drivers are not compatible with your old game. Have you tried using a much older graphic card driver? Make sure you fully uninstall your current one first. No other program or game is affected?

2005-08-28 22:51:00 | Thnx I will try that...i apprecate the help :) I would like to also mention that I ran some direct x tests and i do have direct x 9c and in the testing direct x 3d I passed them all in the first series then i ran it a second time and my display went bad again on #9 interface. So I rebooted it and then tried direct draw test andmy primary surface test in normal was ok but when it got to off-screen surface in normal I did see everythingon the monitor however the screen was garbled on this test on more than one occasion. but for now i will try the 16 bit ..these forums rock thnx :badpc:

2005-08-29 03:37:00 | i took out my graphic card and my monitor seems to be working well. I think its time to buy a new one. I have a amd duron processor cpu speed is 1300mhz with 512mb but i am updateing my comp with in one slot 512mb and in the 2nd 215mb eventually to 1024mb... I was wondering if a geforce 6800 ultra graphic card would work with my system. would I have to upgrade more any help would be good
kwr72 (8796) | ||
2005-08-29 04:03:00 | a 6800 ultra? Far to much for the rest of your system, the card would never even come close to reaching its full abilities. If you want to spend that amount on a video card then you will need to have a system with comparable components to make it worthwhile. Which in my mind would be 1GB of ram,a 3ghz cpu and matching motherboard
