383983 2005-08-27 02:08:00 I know it's been asked heaps of times before, but I haven't asked for a while and software is forever evolving, so I was wondering what P2P software do you guys all consider as the best and safest to use these days? I'm sick of spyware... I'm so over it... :yuck: bizzack (7739)
383984 2005-08-27 02:10:00 Don't use P2P. Too many things u can get (by accident, or whether u want/like it or not) thru P2P.

ie: viruses/trojans/worms etc.

383985 2005-08-27 04:39:00 limewire, but only on a mac, wouldn't touch a p2p program on a window's system plod (107)
383986 2005-08-27 04:47:00 There isn't one
As the others have said, you're asking for problems

No spyware.

As usual ANY executable you download may be malicious (or even just poorly written).

Read the tracker comments left on web pages to make sure the download isn't spyware/virus infected and as always scan it first.

383990 2005-08-27 12:47:00 The best P2P program???? A friend recommended me to this one.. And it's good!

www5.pplive.com

Using the same idea as BT, but live broadcasting!

Generally, most of the programs originate from China, but they have good soccer channels (like Star sports), anime channels, HBO, etc...

Quite smooth as well!

383991 2005-08-28 03:32:00 Best one i got is Safe-Share! No spy ware & they cant share your files because it's donload only! I did have to pay $15 for it but its worth it. koolme2 (6385)
383992 2005-08-28 03:39:00 I fail to see how that works... "Cant share your files"?!

So in other words this is a l33ching client that rips off another network?

The idea behind P2p is that I share so you can receive. If Im not sharing, you have nothing to receive, correct!?! Hence "Peer-to-Peer" being the name of the game...
