| 384774 | 2005-08-31 02:34:00 | Greetings, Been doing some PC Repairs today I reakon Net dotNET has screwed things up here Tried with/without ZA Can ping IP's (210.48.100.25 comes to mind) and have even tried forcing Xtra's DNS (202.27.184.3 & .5) but it still doesnt like it I cant browse directly via http to an IP, so this doesnt work: http://210.48.100.25 Even thou I can ping it fine I think its New dotNET that was removed by them a few days back. Basically some viruses and ad-ware (New.net for example), modify your tcp/ip or internet connectivity settings. Removed said program can leave lingering entries and that may be causing problems. I've used this tool successfully for over a year now, just to make sure that network settings where restored. If you're not sure that you are as clean as you need to be when it comes to network settings, etc. Just run it and make sure. |
