| 384713 | 2005-08-30 10:42:00 | Am trying to install xp-home on new system but after initial setup when pc reboots supposedly for main windows setup it boots from cd and starts from begining again! Motherboard is brand new nForce4 k8 Triton so no need to load sata drivers. Bios is set to cd, hdd on boot. No probs recognising the sata. Did quick format option NTFS hoping it was a boot file install thing but no luck. Any suggestions? | mcjelly (3439) | ||

When the nvidia raid bios comes up to detect your SATA hard drive, press the key to enter the raid setup util and define a single drive JBOD or stripe (Raid 0) array. This will not affect data already on the drive. Also check the boot priority in bios. :) |
