| 384483 | 2005-08-29 08:31:00 | Occasionally the speaker in my computer case makes a constant beeping noise for no apparent reason- I thought it could be the alarm for an overheating CPU so I turned off the setting in BIOS even though there is no other evidence of the CPU getting hot (It usually runs at about 46 degrees while surfing the net) Could this noise mean something else? I suspect my hard drive might be getting ready to die so I have backed up everything vital. Any ideas? Thanks |

Like the kind with a digital readout of temperature on the front of your case? If so, then it could be this that is constantly beeping - I've had this problem occasionally with mine. Mike. |
