| 385528 | 2005-09-02 12:53:00 | I've been asked if i can find out what the resolve is for this problem on a friends system. Win XP and CCleaner, updated antivirus etc have been run through I have downloaded the 1.4 and went through the process, It comes up with a problem saying Services.sbs file is missing, use the update to get a copy. but when I go to update it gives an error message Socket Error #11004. I don't know what it is and I can't seem to find out. would you know what it is? |

| 385530 | 2005-09-02 13:07:00 | they seem to have found a solution here (pocosystems.com) for the socket error 11004 basicly if I read it right disable teatimer or donot try and install it when installing spybot, teatimer is a real time monitoring element, It protects the registry against suspect changes |

| 385531 | 2005-09-18 10:31:00 | When you install Spybot 1.4 and try to run it there might be an error message that the file Services.sbs is missing or that you cannot update certain files because of a wrong Checksum. To solve this problem just choose another update server on the button between "Check for updates" and "Download updates". Best wishes, Hazel |
