| 385351 | 2005-09-02 05:49:00 | Anyone know anything about this test? I got a score of only 1500 and a lot of the test programs were funning at only 1 fps. Seems a bit queer. In the 03 test I score around the 6000 mark. |

That may explain your scores Each new generation of 3dmark has to be a huge step up in requirments, its very purpose is to still be a vaible test in the months leading up to the next 3dmark release. Meaning the current release will kill last generation cards,seriously maim current midrange cards, and give a hella good beating to current and next generation high end cards. |

And yes, it is very graphics intensive. You can't run it at all on a 4xxx card. Although thats mainly cause they didn't build in any support for them on this version. Its very pretty to watch though. I did it twice, once on this card and once on my previous card and what I did notice was there was a lot more detail with my current card - which I thought mattered more than its score. |

| 385359 | 2005-09-02 09:16:00 | Benechmarks are a way to see were your at and to keep you upgrading your computer and also people like to keep up or be better then others and it gets to be a bit of a compitition to see who has the best computer score. :thumbs: Hardwaer sales increase accordingly and so its good for the industry as it keeps people upgrading more often. :D Who knows the industry maybe secretly behind these benechmarks or encourage them as they know it makes people spend money upgrading there computers and this helps them to keep/increase sales of there products. :2cents: |
