385092 2005-09-01 04:52:00 This is ex an Access 2000 application (not pretty, but it opens Outlook and inserts the to, cc and bcc from the parameters):

Sub modbulkemail(prmto As String, prmcc As String, prmbcc As String)

Dim objoutlook As Outlook.Application
Dim objnamespace As NameSpace
Dim objitem As Object

Dim bcclist As String

On Error GoTo modbulkemail_error

Set objoutlook = GetObject(, " outlook.application " )
Set objnamespace = objoutlook.GetNamespace( " MAPI " )
Set objitem = objoutlook.CreateItem(olMailItem)
With objitem
.To = prmto
.CC = prmcc
.BCC = prmbcc
End With
objitem.display

Set objoutlook = Nothing
Exit Sub

modbulkemail_error:
Select Case Err
Case 429
' Outlook not open - open a new session

Set objoutlook = New Outlook.Application
Resume Next
Case Else
' Trap other errors

MsgBox Err & " " & Err.Description

End Select

End Sub

Is that what you want?

385093 2005-09-01 04:55:00 the only use of such code i can think of is in a VB virus.That may be a bit paranoid. The snippet I supplied is from a club membership administration app that has the capability of sending emails to one or more members. Tony (4941)
385094 2005-09-01 05:01:00 I have created a apllication in which Manages CD's List,Personal Contacts,Important Numbers,Reminders etc. such a good application as my point of U. Now I want to Add New Feature which enable the User to send & receive mail to the other contacts or from the other contacts respectively without using MS Outlook i.e only through my application. My application must support all the features of sending and reciving of mail. sun (8791)
385095 2005-09-01 05:04:00 Aha. That is easy. All you have to do is port your application to Linux. :cool:

Then with a few lines of code you can, with the help of a real operating system, do all sorts of magical things. And you won't have to use any MS software, even Outlook. :D

385098 2005-09-01 05:30:00 I read this stuff at abstractvb (abstractvb.com) to learn everything I needed when I was building email interfaces into an EDI application some years ago. I would assume the content has grown and improved since, but even back then it was the dog's wotsits. :dogeye: Miami Steve (2128)
