384973 2005-08-31 08:36:00 Not exactly

How do you mean you "were attacked". Many people, and some ISP's even, run ping sweeps to check if PC's are up etc, harmless things.

It may just be somebody who is infected with a normal virus of some type thats trying to get out.

In a nutshell, even though I my web-server was being attacked, when I traced the IP's and contacted the ISP of a person, they didnt really give a toss. Even though they were in NZ themselves!

384975 2005-08-31 12:05:00 If u mean Norton internet security u click on the blinking globe and select show info / whatever.

Cant remember the globe here isnt blinking. Then say YES. Then u have the option of seeing where its coming from on a map of the world.

384976 2005-08-31 21:35:00 i don't even bother trying to track them these days, tho its interesting where they all come from. i get hundreds of attemps, you will go nuts tracking them all. aqlso if its a real attack (not just trojen etc) then tracking them will tip them off that your ip has a pc at the end of it. tweak'e (69)

At the Rate Norton's kills your system performance, id rather have hackers and most of the viruses, it would slow down your computer less lol.
