| 385378 | 2005-09-02 07:04:00 | Hmm. Mine has tape - covering the thermal pad on the back. It also has 2 black um - pushpin? type connectors for attaching to the MB. But I got mine from the duistributors. |

| 385379 | 2005-09-02 07:56:00 | Yes mines the same but the original on my MB has 4 screws and no push-pins. Thats why I am a bit wary. | Nalla (6795) | ||
| 385380 | 2005-09-02 08:04:00 | It is actually 6 MB,s The saga---MB ---Gig GA-K8NSNXP socket 754 cost $371 Amd Athlon 64 3000+ 3R System R101 with Maxpower PSU 400W Assembled 15/06/04 09/08/04MB replaced 10/01/05--No boot up but dig read out flashingreplace MB 21/03/05USB ports not functioningreplace MB 01/04/05No go---replace MB 22/06/05new MB 14/07/05---MB blew and I blew and it is still there The assemblers offered to put in a loan MB until Gig. came to the party. I said no as at that stage I had bought the other one and I would wait. I asked about PSU, I offered to pay extra to move on but was told Gig would not be happy to credit me as I had used it for so long. Gig. Offered an alternative but when it turned up it had broken CPU clips. I rang the assembler and said I would have to look at going to the small claims court and they said that might be the best thing. They got in touch with me last week to say they were pressuring Gig. agents and later to say Gig. had offered a full credit. Today I received an email offering a maybe Abit KV8 Pro-3rd Eye Socket 754 Motherboard, ATX, VIA K8T800 Pro chipset, 2000Mhz FSB, 4x184pin DDR slots, 1xAGP 5xPCI 2xIDE ATA133 2xSerial ATA *4xUSB2 *Integrated 6 Channel Audio *Integrated 10/100/1000 LAN *Integrated Serial ATA Raid 12 Months warranty $264 - note 12 month warranty or MSI K8N Neo-FSR Socket 754 Motherboard, ATX, nVidia nForce3 chipset, 1600Mhz FSB, 3x184pin DDR slots, 1xAGP 5xPCI 2xIDE ATA133 2xSerial ATA *4xUSB2 *Integrated 8 Channel Audio *Integrated Intel Gigabit LAN *Integrated SATA RAID 12 Months warranty $170 - note 12 month warranty" I am going to take one of those so I can move on but it is all a bit unreal. Why did Gig. keep replacing the MB,s This is the reason for my original post about a hands-on tech. PS---NO tweaking of any kind went on. |
