| 384929 | 2005-08-31 06:27:00 | Hi all Can someone guide me in the right direction. I have winxp pro and have set it up for two users. his and hers. Both use the same email address. How can I set Outlook express up so that is synchronised for both users. Otherwise when "his" logs on and checks mail it wont show up when 'hers' logs on and visa versa. Hopefully it can be done. Thanks for any help you can give me. Gimmee :):) |

| 384930 | 2005-08-31 10:11:00 | it is not worth the trouble involved as OE is not designed for that. If you only have one email address why bother with seperate profiles, just use the one login and both use the same OE If you really want seperate profiles then get another email address so you both have your own. The other option is to set each OE to leave the mail on the server for a time, this will allow all mail to be downloaded into both mail programs. |

| 384931 | 2005-09-01 02:28:00 | I have a magic word for you.... IMAP Using IMAP instead of POP3, email isn't automaticly pulled of the server. It lives on the server and what you see when you log in is the new headings. You may delete mail or move it to a private folder on your own machine. If you do nothing other than take note of its existance, it will still be there for you significant other to get. It does not leave the server till one of you activly deletes it. It also means that if travelling, you may use a laptop or email cafe to check your mail without taking it from the server and thus making it difficult to move to the home machine without modification. If your Email client and your Email provider support IMAP, i would simply switch to that protocol and kiss your problems goodbye ;) |
