1390745 2014-12-22 13:51:00 I have several hundred videos with about 4 or 5 different types. I'm looking for a Video Editor that will change them to one type such as .mov which is what my cameras take now and I need to cut and combined them. ACD has a lot of stuff but I don't think they have what I need. Any suggestions? lostsoul62 (16011)
1390746 2014-12-22 18:12:00 I've only ever used VLC to convert, it's simple, my player and does the trick so never needed anything more involved. pctek (84)

1390750 2014-12-22 21:10:00 Freemake video converter (www.freemake.com) can convert / edit / link files together.

Make sure you do a custom install. Otherwise it'll install crap. Only thing is unless you pay a donation, (I paid $1.99 to fix this), it'll add a logo at the end of the converted video as well.

1390751 2014-12-22 22:30:00 The cutting and getting to the right points can be the problem. Lots of the All in ones don't edit to well, or are very awkward to use.

Suggest you cut them, and save the altered files first. One free cutter is http://www.freevideocutter.com/ Works well, and simple to use.

As for joining and converting to one format, some programs wont handle mixed formats to well, or are paid versions.

Have a look on the giveaway sites, they have free ones all the time.
