1377291 2014-06-17 03:18:00 I have a name and address programme called Ascend. I really like it. It does all I want it to do.

I have Windows 8 on my new laptop but the programme is too old to run on Windows 8. What a pity, because I would love to continue using the programme.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a later version?

The programme is called Ascend, version 4 - 930405 by the Franklin Quest Co., Technology Division. Windows version 3.95, Dos version 5.00.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

1377294 2014-06-17 04:43:00 Ascend was a PIM program circa 1990s

I'm sure speedy could suggest suitable current options

1377300 2014-06-17 06:43:00 What does it do with the names and addresses?

It simply sorts them into alphabetical order. It has a notes field in each name and address which is helpful for all sorts of extra information.
