You give the impression that you are not surprised at that sort of behaviour just because of the fact that it's a Christian school. Surely that sort of behaviour could happen at any school, Christian or otherwise? It's that sort of bigoted remark that is the cause of so much intolerance in the world today. Best to keep that attitude to yourself. You don't want to be labelled as a prejudiced bigot, do you? |

Or just reading more into that than there is? I in fact have been in a religious organisation, I know a fair bit about religion. My comment means...hmm....godly behaviour and values are generally the reason for having a religious school in the first place. Didn't seem to work, did it. OK? Happy? |

| 1377732 | 2014-06-25 05:45:00 | Well I'm a bit prejudiced against religion and I'll admit it. Normally I just smile and keep my thoughts to myself but not always. It's the cause of a great deal of war and conflict both historical and current which is in direct contradiction with the supposed beliefs almost any religious person claims to have. I'm especially against religious schools as I don't like children being indoctrinated into any belief system before they are old enough to understand and make an informed choice. And no I don't subscribe to the science is a belief argument. I don't think any of that has anything to do with why some violent kid decided to stab someone though, just shows another contradiction between belief and action but likely has nothing to do with the school. It's a nature/nurture type situation and those debates may never be solved. |

Hmm, my mother would disagree with that C, she was raised and taught by catholic nuns in an orphanage. The discipline given out has now been found out to be abuse according to the courts. On another note a work colleagues son goes tho a catholic school where hats are not allowed to be worn along with long hair. Although there is a student from another religion that is permitted to wear certain headwear with his long hear tied up. It looks like becoming pastafarian is becoming a good idea so non religious people can stand as equals |
