| 1390359 | 2014-12-21 22:54:00 | Hi guys, don't know if this is relevant to what you're talking about but any help would be appreciated. Yesterday my desktop had problems starting, it kept on recycling through the startup, shut down immediately after the "loading windows" screen appeared and continued to do that for about 20 minutes before finally loading. I ran virus/malware checks immediately but nothing was picked up (I run a daily check for updates), it shut down with no problem. This morning same thing again and after about 40 minutes it has now frozen at the "loading operating system" screen. It also occasionally makes between 33 and 35 high pitched continues beeps. Any ideas? It's also a beautiful sunny morning in Auckland!! | tophook (10328) | ||

The endless rebooting could be failing memory, HDD failing, or any other internal component failing. Make sure all the internal components are seated as they should be. |

Hi wainuitech, thanks for your reply - guess what - after leaving the computer on and having some lunch I came back to find it working as per normal. However, there was a message on the screen saying I have a problem with Windows Live sign in due to a recently installed programme, and giving a link address to get information on how to rectify the problem as follows - go.microsoft.com not sure if this a "come on" trap so I'll Google it and see if anything is mentioned about it before trying it. The only programme I've installed in the past week has been a You Tube video to audio MP3 converter so now I've got access to the computer I think I'll uninstall it and see what happens. |

It shouldn't be the cause of the Beeps though. Download and run the Free Malwarebytes through the Computer https://www.malwarebytes.org/ Just a word of warning, watch what you click on when installing. The Very LAST window when it asks to run Malwarebytes UNTICK the top box it wants to install the 30 Trial Pro Version, it wont hurt, but it will bug you to buy the Pro, where as the Free one manually run works fine. |

| 1390363 | 2014-12-22 03:28:00 | I did that yesterday (should have said earlier) with no luck. Also used Spybot and Super anti spyware as well as Nortons 360 Premier and all said things were ok. I think I'll remove the video converter and see what happens. | tophook (10328) | ||
