Iwas at Stonehenge at the start of the building. I made a deal with Merlin. a long life in exchange for the Stones from my land in Wales. It seems to have worked. PJ

1377248 2014-06-17 05:50:00 TWe used four engine bombers to send a message to Germany, Hungary and Japan in WW2 and it worked .

Funny!

I could have sworn that the Axis powers were Germany, Italy, and Japan!

They signed up for the party well before kick off .

The Axis grew out of the Anti-Comintern Pact, an anti-communist treaty signed by Germany and Japan in 1936 . Italy joined the Pact in 1937 (late as usual) then the "Rome–Berlin Axis" became a military alliance in 1939 under the Pact of Steel (they forgot that the Italians were made of pasta, not steel) then the Tripartite Pact of 1940 led to the coagulation of the military aims of Germany and its two treaty-bound allies .

Hungary was just an appetiser for Russia as it cruised through on its way to Berlin .

Cheers
