1377066 2014-06-13 00:10:00 Neither the round ball nor the oval ball interest me one jot.......................:banana
...But Nick Willis did a good job the other day......

1377067 2014-06-13 07:10:00 Not really interested, but entered a sweep at work. Managed to draw Spain, who I understand are the favourites...

The guy organising the sweep sent out an email to all the sweep participants this morning after the Brasil/Croatia (?) game: "I see Brasil won 3-0 and managed to score all the goals, with more diving than you see at an Olympic swim meet" - had to smile at that!

1377068 2014-06-13 07:15:00 Its no better or any worse than the grown idiots chasing an ostrich egg around. I'm not likely to watch any of the football world cup and I'm even less likely to ever watch a rugby game again (one was enough) gary67 (56)
1377069 2014-06-13 08:52:00 I used to enjoy soccer, but don't give a damn now.

I'd rather spend a day shooting virtual foes on the computer than watch a bunch of people fight over posession of a ball. Ultimately the world is no better regardless of the outcome, so why all the fuss and money and the waste?

1377070 2014-06-13 10:07:00 This forums attitude towards sport is very stereotypical considering the basis of the forum. While I'll won't be watching much of the soccer, I think any event that's run on the world stage is good for humanity as a whole. #getoutside #rugbyhasboughtalotofawarenessandtourismtonz #competitionishealthy #dontreallycareandbtwthisismyfirstuseofhashtags hueybot3000 (3646)
1377071 2014-06-13 14:34:00 Also no interest at all. Can't be bothered. sarel (2490)
1377072 2014-06-13 19:15:00 Is this yachting or something?
Someone at work here said something about a cup being on TV tonight.
I was confused because my coffee cup wasnt on the TV at all, it was right where I left it on my desk
And I dont really like brazil nuts, I prefer cashew nuts

1377073 2014-06-13 20:58:00 There are some people who are not interested in the Brasil (or is that Brazil?) World Cup. Isn't that incredible?:waughh:
.

The poll on Stuff shows most NZers aren't too bothered.

NZ is more of a rugby nation.....me, I couldn't care less about any ball games.

I have done and still do participate in a lot of outside exercise including sport, I just have zero interest in watching others do the same.
