1377903 2014-06-24 22:13:00 Of course virus writers would now be targeting 64b systems with rootkits, why wouldn't they ?

Who would have thought???? (www.pcworld.co.nz puts full redundancy cloud hosting firm out of business/)

What kind of fool would toss all of their data into the hands of some other wally with his head in the Cloud, literally and metaphorically?

Surely they would also keep their own back-ups, off-line and at two separate locations?

Apart from my own family meaning me, I don't know anyone who does backups in my circle of friends . I regularly remind them they should to no avail .

1377906 2014-06-25 19:47:00 I dont do backups either. All I've got are install / update files on another partition. But 64 bit rootkits is nothing new. They've been around for a while now. But most people dont know that or have read about it

I dont store anything online either. Well, I've got nothing anyway

What a disaster.
Its an absolute guess as to just how secure any cloud service is.....pure pot luck.

Dropbox's internal security was an absolute joke , why would any firm allow a worker to have a list of clients passwords & be able to take that list home ??
They paid the price for it.

just what happens to your data & personal info if a firm goes broke....the receivers sell it all off. Yep, thats happened !!!!
Claims of multiple redundancy have time & time again been found out to be lies : absolute lies.
