| 1377363 | 2014-06-18 07:37:00 | Thanks Whenu. Gloom and despair, I have very pleasant memories of the place I lived about 3km up the road at Stranraer Farm. I would have spent 10,000s dollars and hundreds of hours of the best days of my life there. As a rule we never drove past there on the way home from work some times we left after a few pints other times we lived off Nola pies and settled in for the night. I worked at Luft Stalag ERS and as an instructor at 4TTS. We got to know the locals very well especially the farmers daughters if you get my drift. I used to go pig hunting and laying possum trails with my girl friend at the times brother. The local traffic cop lived on the same farm as us I gave him our garage so he could put his car in it. He did tell me off once when he estimated my speed past the pub at at over 100 MPH on my combat engined Norton Commando when he was there off duty drinking and he was right. Big part of me dies with the demolition thanks again for telling me Whenu I think lol |
