385845 2005-09-03 11:58:00 I'm having a couple of problems where:

1) my MSN would connect fine, but then occasionally it would not send/receive messages, and it still appears to be connected to the server.

2) MSN would disconnect after a while without me doing anything.

I have a feeling this is a problem with either Xtra or my ADSL router (Puretek with conexant chip) as I had it running fine for ages before, but had to reset my router once before and problems arouse after that, would be great if anyone has any ideas why this is happening and also if anyone have the correct settings for a Puretek router.

Cheers

385849 2005-09-04 00:26:00 There's one thing I forgot to mention - MSN works fine if I use the web based version (webmessenger.msn.com), the problem only occurs when I use my own MSN (version 7.5 build 7.5.0299) but obviously this is not a long term solution...

Also just looking in my MSN under "connections" in settings (sorry if the name is incorrect, I'm using the Chinese version so don't know what the exact English names are), it says that I'm connecting via a... not UPnP NAT connection or something along that line, is this a problem and if it is does anyone know what it means and how do I fix it?

A list of the settings for my modem:
Encapulation: PPPoA VC-Mux
VPI: 0
VCI: 100
Service Category: UBR
DHCP Client: Disabled
MRU: 1492
MTU:1492
MSS: 1432

Also in addition, I have a D-link AirPlus Xtreme G DWL-2000AP wireless AP which I use for my laptop to connect to the router.

Thanks
