| 385539 | 2005-09-02 21:36:00 | I've got a customer who's irritating the heck out of me by not having her own computer. She reckons the cost outweighs the inconvenience. Bah humbug. I need her to have one. So what's the cheapest bare-bones notebook/laptop available? All it's needed for is Internet browsing and email (or rather that's all I need her to have it for). Thx |

| 385542 | 2005-09-02 22:13:00 | Dick Smith have a pretty good offer going - Acer 3002LC for $1098 including GST. I think there is some kind of cash back offer going and they throw in a 128 USB key. That Dell looks good too. Actually I'm really impressed with the price of low end laptops at the moment - go the kiwi dollar! |

| 385545 | 2005-09-03 00:40:00 | Meh....A customer of mine was asking about cheap Laptops the other day, After lookin at me like I was crazy after offering to sell him an Asus for $1600 I sent him off down the warehouse to get a sub-$1000 Dell. Price bracket was right for him,and he only wanted to use word and email..... |
