| 386075 | 2005-09-05 06:24:00 | Does your Chaintech board have a VIA chipset? If it does, then just go here (www.viaarena.com) and grab the audio driver for your OS. You might as well get the appropriate motherboard driver as well. :) [edit: just googled your motherboard, and it does have the VIA chipset] :) |

| 386077 | 2005-09-05 10:59:00 | Thank you all for the links and suggestions. Downloaded and installed the C-Media CMI8738 (as detected by Everest Home) and it is producing "sweet noices" from the speakers. ;) It's so difficult to remove the case cover of this PC Company product. :badpc: |
