Just purchased a new Acer Aspire 3500, Mobile Celeron 1.5 Ghz, 512Ram, 80gb hd, loaded up normal software such as office, antivirus etc, transferred across my file from old Machine, trouble is it is running slow, what I mean is that the time lag between when I click to open or do something , or sometimes type text before appearance on the screen is quite long, I can hear what sounds like the Hard Drive engaging and then things get going, also working in outlook if I scroll up the messages and then open one it takes ages, with the screen going blank sometimes with the hour glass ? Any ideas, have scanned for viruses, one other thing, when I copied my files acrossI want to reorganize them better (working files such as spreadsheet etc) when copying or cutting a folder to a new location about 1/3 through the process it ends in error saying another program is using the file ? Maybe spyware ? Please help, this is driving me insane, thanks, Todd |
