387110 2005-09-09 03:23:00 I have recently got high speed internet on my computer. I have XP pro and the IE 6.0 all completely up to date but for some reason or another despite the autocomplet boxes being ticked in options it doesn't work.
Anyone else have this happen or have any ideas on how to remedy this. I went onto the microsoft site and found a reference on XP home but not XP pro
Koerbin (8853)

In this box type sfc /scannow
THere is a space after sfc.
This runs the windows file checker, and will ask for you setup cd if it finds anything wrong.
Have a look at this mskb article .it is for xp home but may still work for pro
It may be what you have seen already.
The AutoComplete feature does not work after you enable it in Internet Explorer on a computer that is running Windows XP Home Edition
