| 386985 | 2005-09-08 21:09:00 | Hi Hope someone can help! I am trying to update security prices online through cashbook 2004. Each time I try to update prices it asks me to connnect to the internet although i am on broadband. On running the wizard to connect to the internet I select "I have a direct connection" I only have the one browser which is ie 6, the proxy server details come up as blank, I then finish the wizard but I get the following error. "Error 2500: Browser settings have not been set" I have tried online support but nothing is mentioned in FAQ. When I called the help line I was told to call OZ at some crazy rate and ultimately got no help after along wait. CAn anyone help with this set up? Cheers Stu |

| 386986 | 2005-09-08 22:10:00 | Quicken wouldn't update properly for me either They seem to have spent more time programming in flashy popup ads that want you to upgrade to this that and the other instead of designing an accounting package that works And their technical support sucks big time. I'm currently using Quickbooks 2005 and am heartily sick of it I only use for producing invoices as I like the way it handles that side of it but use something else for my accounting needs I reckon it's the biggest heap of trash I've had the misfortune to come across //end of rant Sorry I know this hasn't helped you in the slightest. |
