| 386745 | 2005-09-07 23:03:00 | Hi there, I have a problem with my paradise email. I have been accessing it from the UK for over a year, but last week OE6 stopped being able to download it - it times out. I can still see the email on webmail, but when I try to ping the POP server with utilities such as pathping it times out (gets as far as a telstraclear server in nz). I don't think it's a firewall issue on my end because I disabled it temporarily and it still didn't work. Paradise helpdesk suggested I delete some of my larger emails, which I duly did (a couple were 2Mb, all the rest are 200kb or smaller) Can you think of anything else I might try? Cheers Simon |

NOt sure if Paradise is one of these. Have you double checked all your configurations (i.e. pop/smtp server settings) Have you run an antivirus scan recently? What about updates ... are you getting MS updates regularly? |
