| 386849 | 2005-09-10 04:24:00 | Joe: in this PressF1 forum, it's best if postings are directed at helping the questioner, not slagging their OS version. If you want to tell everyone that you don't like WinME there's another forum, though such opinions do tend to be interesting only to the poster. They certainly don't assist xineohp. | Graham L (2) | ||
| 386850 | 2005-09-10 06:16:00 | xineohp: Please ignore the unhelpful posts from SurferJoe46. I know you weren't asking for a opinion on your OS, rather help for a problem. I see you cannot boot into safe mode using the problem user account, but what about with the user account that works? As has already been suggested, try running your Antivirus/Antispyware under safe mode. I am not sure whether WimME can get corrupt user profiles like the NT based OS's. Another option would be to try a repair of the OS. Lets us know how you get on, and whether you still need help. :) |

| 386852 | 2005-09-10 08:33:00 | Just for balance, I recently upgraded from Win98se to ME and haven’t had a moment’s problem. (Yes, some of us wrinklys’s are cautious) :D But,regretfully, I’m not familiar with this problem. :( |
