| 387113 | 2005-09-09 05:35:00 | After all this time I've just received (via a customer's email address) my very first phishing attempt. Quite laughable really. Anyway, can anyone tell me offhand where in Ebay to forward this to? Never used Ebay myself nor has my customer. Thanks. (it's some Japanese sh******d that's trying it on) |

| 387114 | 2005-09-09 05:42:00 | the most craptastic thing that happened to me last week . . . . I recieved my first phishing attempt, and I responded to it, logged into the link they gave and gave them my account details . . . Just as I logged in the brain clicked into gear and i looked at the address bar (should have picked it up earlier, the email that the mail was sent to is not associated with the account i logged into) Anyhow, never mind, I logged into the site for real and changed my password and email, so alls well . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . apart from the burning shame . . . . |

(although you being a hardware wiz and not necessarily an Internet guru, don't be too ashamed). Well I went a few steps further and sent to abuse@theirisp a copy of the shizza, with a 'rather' (im)polite message that they shouldn't be tolerateing this kind of customer. Who knows of course, if the ISP isn't part and parcel of it. I suppose if I get a few more of these they'll become boring, but I really did have to vent to both parties (eBay and ISP) seeing as it was my first. Thx Johnboy, now done. |

The worrying thing is how much .co.nz addresses are getting targetted in recent months. A lot of our people are still so damn vague about this stuff :( | Greg (193) | ||
