387666 2005-09-12 01:34:00 Does anyone know of a program that will tell where a person has been surfing if the temporary internet files have been deleted from the internet options tab and the clear history tab has also been deleted. Is there also anyway to see where a person has been surfing past the maximum number of days that the history tab is set for lorry (8865)
387667 2005-09-12 02:17:00 It looks as if the "person" is one step ahead of you. ;)

What you can do depends on your positiion in the authority tree. If you own the computer, or the network, you could set up a proxy server, owned by the "adminstrator" (you) with a secure password, with the proxy the only access to the Internet. The logs would tell you all you want to know.

This has a chance of success if it's a network, with the server machine in a locked room.

However if the person has physical access to boot the computer, there is nothing to stop them using a "live CD" to boot a different OS, and access the Internet.

To make matters worse, the "person" may have found this site, and is reading this thread.

Dunno what isp/plan you're using, but paradise cable plans f'rinstance have the ip addresses of all the places you've been, listed right there on the usage page for your account. You could maybe try something like that...

with IE you can simply look at the index.dat file which records every website they go to.
