387574 2005-09-11 13:33:00 Is anyone using the new Bordernet Isat service that took over from Ihug Ultra. Are you getting any reception and what sort of service do get from their help line. Joe Blogs (35)
387575 2005-09-11 18:32:00 Hi
I have not had the change over completed yet.
Ringing the help desk eventually gets you a friendly efficient sounding response with, to date, not much in the way of a positive result.
Supposedly I still have access thru ordinary dialup but that doesnt work either.
Luckily I have other access so I am not too bothered by it yet but might change my mind about that when I receive their next bill.

387576 2005-09-12 09:19:00 only certain customers have been changed over so far. this may depend on what aera you are in and how busy the techs are.

dailup should still work, don't forget you need to add @ihug.co.nz to your user name to switch over to dailup.

old ihug ultra no longer works as the satelite was turned off last week. every thing seems to be done a little "last minute" hence the rush and poor help desk.

they has been some problems witht he email side of it, no idea on details sorry.

387577 2005-09-12 23:54:00 I have a friend up Hawkes Bay who has been changed over.
he says it is a bit quicker but a bit tempermental but they are on bad rural phone lines. I have been in contact with BNet re changing mine & they seem helpful & hope to get techies onto it soon ! They say they will not charge for the month we are back on ihug landline too.
