387414 2005-09-10 23:35:00 Does anyone know how to disable the 'squishy beep' sound when a web page loads? I'm using Firefox, but think it's a Windows (XPpro) system setting. Have tried stooping sounds in Windows sound set up but it makes no difference. Shortcircuit (1666)
387415 2005-09-11 00:06:00 Does it happen on every webpage that loads, or a specific website? You haven't installed any Firefox extensions which may have that feature? Jen (38)
387416 2005-09-11 00:47:00 Hi Jen, I've just been through advanced prefs in F/fox and can't find anything to do with sounds, do have quite a few extensions installed but also can't see anything in those that would do it.

It only does it when opening a new web page in f/fox (just dug up IE and it doesn't do it)

Now thinking it must be something in F/fox... will have a look around the f/fox forums.

Just annoying when I'm playing music :(

387417 2005-09-11 06:18:00 Have you tried....about:config........in the location bar/address field? And then....sound....in the filter field and try fiddling around with those options? mark c (247)
