387260 2005-09-10 05:14:00 Some of you will remember that I installed a Leadtek TV2000XP Expert, TV Tuner/Video Capture Card a couple of weeks ago... At that time I had difficulty getting sound, but with help from you I changed the WinFast PVR audio settings to "CD Player" for both "Audio Recording Line" and "Audio-Out Control Line" - and got sound and then successfully captured and burnt a video to DVD.

Last week, for reasons I won't go into, I installed Nero 6, along with NeroVision 3 and now I can't burn sound - the picture is there, but no sound...

I went into the capture settings in Nero and changed the settings in "Capture Video, Audio Device Properties, Audio Input" from "Line in" to "CD Player". No change was made to WinFast PVR settings. Also in Nero there is the option of "Capturing Settings Configuration" in "Capture Video" where it offers the choice of "Stereo" or "Dolby Digital (AC-3) 2.0" in "Audio Format". Which option is the "right" one do you think?

When I try to burn in MovieFactory 3 SE (successfull previously), it fails and tells me "Source file had problems (5003)", and then "Cannot open file".

Suggestions would be welcome! :badpc:

Cheers

387261 2005-09-11 00:14:00 I don't know anything about NeroVision, nor capturing video files but I see that NeroVision has a patch for version 3 to fix some issues with MPEG2 files. See here (www.nero.com). :) Jen (38)
387262 2005-09-11 02:02:00 Jen - whew! That worked - I now can burn in NeroVision 3 successfully (with sound) - I'm so grateful (and so is my husband!). :)

My next task is to try to take the ads out using NeroVision - I know the theory - just the practice I have to work out!

Cheers

387263 2005-09-11 02:51:00 Hmm not too sure what that patch does for Nerovision exactly .

If you have the latest version of NV, you shouldnt need that patch .

If whatever you recorded, had video and sound originally .

Yup cutting out ads etc is a bit tricky, it does take time figuring this out!

I just figured out how to do chapters about 2 weeks ago lol . .

That wasnt as hard as I thought .

387264 2005-09-11 05:19:00 Just reporting back - have successfully taken out ads (edited in NeroVision) - still to watch it to make sure everything is hunky dory....

I will try again in MovieFactory - editing is easier there. :)
