387210 2005-09-09 11:26:00 Hi all.
I just installed a DSE Tv tuner with there software (Lifeview)
now, i can get perfect reception, but i'm haviung trouble getting sound.
I'm on XP Pro, with a sound blaster audigy ZS.

If i put my speakers direct into the TV TUNERS audio out i can pick up the sound, but obvisouly i don't want to do this (i won't hear any sound from mp3s etc) so i used the 3.5mm audio cord, and plugged one end into the TV TUNERS AUDIO OUT, and the other into the microphone in the audigy.

But no sound - what do i have to change?
Nothing in the audi settings are on mute or anything...

The audio output from the TV card is NOT a microphone level, its a Line level output that should go to the Line In socket on your soundcard.

387214 2005-09-09 14:01:00 Just to confirm what godfather has said, you need to run a 3.5mm stereo cable from the TV tuner's LINE OUT to the Audigy's LINE IN. Also to ensure that sound is recorded when you are recording a program make sure you have the Audigy card set as the audio capture device.

387216 2005-09-10 00:24:00 arghh.
ok, its weird, cos i don't think the sound is actually going thro the tv tuner program...
becos if i change the audio settings (volume, bass etc) in the porgram, it doesn't affect sound.
and if i record tv, it doesn't record any audio
