2005-09-12 14:51:00 | Ok, hi all :) uuhm I've got this problem with a file I downloaded with Bittorent . It's a serie called Red vs Blue, It's a video, but . . . . I can't play the file . I tried Windows Media Player, DivX, the file is an ISO file, so it's like "filename . ISO" So first of all I don't know what ISO is, what it means, and second of all, I don't know how to play it . Do I need to convert it? If yes, . . . how??? Man this file took me 2 days to download, I can't delete it and look for another file, PLEASE help me! :dogeye: Thank you so much, really thank you! ^_^ Farhoed .

2005-09-12 15:38:00 | An ISO file usually needs to be read from a disk (i.e., CD or DVD). You can either burn it to a disk and watch it, or mount a virtual DVD drive and watch it from the HD. Google for "virtual DVD" and find some apps.

2005-09-12 15:47:00 | Mount it with Daemon tools which is a free download. Unless you want to copy it to cd for keeping. I keep some games mounted with daemon to save putting in my cd. | Mcpisik (4924) | |

2005-09-12 20:52:00 | .VOB files usually mean that the ISO you got is meant to be burnt to a DVD. | bob_doe_nz (92) | |
2005-09-12 20:58:00 | If its still unpacked, try repacking it with WinRar into a .iso file again, then use something like Nero (or some other software that opens iso files and burns them) and burn it to DVD | Myth (110) | |
2005-09-12 21:14:00 | hmm thanks you guys! but look, I unpacked it with winrar . . and now i got this map with . . . . VOB files . . . and uuuhm . IFO files . What does that mean!? :help: Farhoed p . s . What does Daemon do and where can I dl it? You now have the files that make up a standard dvd movie . (vob and . ifo) Try opening windows media player: choose open file: find folder with these files: choose files of types, any type, so that they show: see if they will play from there by clicking on them to open . If not, clone dvd (I use) or some other dvd burning program will put them on a dvd for you . . . An ISO is an exact copy of a discs image  Wouldnt bother with daemon as it just allows you to pretend your cd is in a virtual drive, so it can be played without inserting it . . . and some other things like copy protection . . . . daemon-tools . cc/dtcc/portal/download . php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=5" target="_blank">www . daemon-tools . cc
