388062 2005-09-13 07:49:00 Xtra are offering a security suite which proclaims to fully protect one from all the nasties. I have been using AVG and Zone Alarm.
Should I scrub theses in favour of the one package which I undersatand is McAfee based. Any expert opinions please ?

388065 2005-09-13 08:32:00 Heh, I saw the add and thought that a sucker is borne every minute on the net .

$8per month = $96 per year .

For that you can get
Zonealarm as a firewall = $0
Mailwasher to protect your email - check before downloading - $0 or donation of about $20 - http://www . mailwasher . net/

388067 2005-09-13 08:59:00 I read every email with the mailwasher first, delete the ones I don't want and then every couple of days just download the ones I want to keep or reply to.

Nothing gets past me that way. Nothing gets into the computer.

yep, agree with those ones. And watch what you download - none of the above stops deliberate download of nasties.
