| 387886 | 2005-09-12 13:17:00 | Hi All of a sudden I just can't use the internet. Im on dialup with orcon and paradise My msn messenger fails to log on internet explorer says page not found.opera says access denied cannot connect to server. But I am able to use icq and opera email.Email would still download only the internet browser doesn't work. I think it's to do with zone alarm pro.I have uninstalled it and also disabled windows firewall but still no luck.It still won't let me use the net. Ive ran spy doctor,adware,spybot,norton anti virus.Nothing was found Im running windows xp.I used norton go back to go back to a previous date.Still no luck. I used system restore.Restoring to the date 8th of september It still didn't fix the problem Does anybody have any idea whats going on>? |

| 387887 | 2005-09-12 18:27:00 | check your task manager process list for anythikng suspicious and run a DIFFERENT av prog to norton to double check. I"ve seen viruses, trojans etc sneak past norton quite a few times and the symptoms you describe are often whta happens when you have a virus or a few.........you also MUST enable your firewall you aree WIDE OPEN to attack from certain viruses and hackers without it and connecting without a firewall will only cause you MORE problems...... this page may help www.cexx.org |
