388580 2005-09-15 17:12:00 I made an awkward unintended movement with the mouse somehow and the bottom quarter of my window in the Firefox browser is now blank grey. The grey region appears below the normal "bottom edge" which shows the address of the information currently being fetched, but the actual working area is foreshortened.

Originally it only seemed to happen on certain addresses (perhaps those not already cached) but now it does it all the time.

It's the kind of thing that I think OUGHT to clear up simply just by positioning the mouse at the boundary between usable window and grey region and dragging down the double-headed arrow that appears. But there is no double-headed arrow!

What have I done and how do I reverse it?

388581 2005-09-16 00:49:00 I suppose it would have been more annoying if this had been a persistent error, but it now seems to have gone away of its own accord, and I'm getting a full window again. So it's that other annoying thing a Temporary and Unexplained Error.

No longer an urgent query, but if anyone has any idea as to cause and remedy, it might be handy to know in case it happens again.
