I cant seem to permanetly clear the search history...after a reboot the whole history reappears again

How can i best cure this problem ? a reinstall ? or should i just return to the more reliable( in my experience ) microsoft explorer ?

388555 2005-09-15 14:04:00 A more permanent solution is to turn off 'Saved Form Information'. Do this from Tools > Options > Privacy. Also, the search field is kind of redundant thanks to Smart Keywords (www.mozilla.org). sal (67)

388557 2005-09-15 18:46:00 May I add another Firefox Google problem? I have a French address and Firefox insists on opening Google in French, which means I can't give preference to UK sites when I search. I've tried changing language, but it doesn't help. It's only a minor annoyance, but who needs them? tylden (4262)
388558 2005-09-15 21:33:00 Hi tylden

If you want to search specifically UK sites, then just enter in this at the end of your search terms site:uk, eg computer books site:uk. This will limit the search to sites which only have the .uk suffix in the URL. If a UK based website uses a .com suffix then it won't return that site amongst the hits.
