| 388536 | 2005-09-15 09:35:00 | Hi, I have a Dell Dimension, and I want to transfer the contents of its slimline case into a new case. I've already got a new case (Thermaltake VM2000) and an internal LG DVD writer (the Dell only has a CD writer). After removing the Dell motherboard, I found that I could not fix it into place in the new case due to the absence of holes in the motherboard. I am now considering buying a compatible motherboard which contains pre-drilled holes thus allowing me to fix it into the new case. My question is, which motherboards can you recommend? - the existing on is 22 months old with an Intel 865G chipset, it has 2x512MB 400MHz DDR SDRAM Any suggestions? Thanks |

I'll try again, and hopefully I can remove it, then drill the holes in the support tray, fix it into the new box then remount the motherboard - thanks again for your suggestions. B |
