| 388492 | 2005-09-15 02:55:00 | I have just downloaded webserv . net/projects/webserv/" target="_blank">sourceforge . net which installs both apache server and php . That was easy although 40 meg . But now its installed how do I run it? Sure I can turn apache on and off using the services, or the manual start . But it doesn't actually seem to do anything (clueless noob that I am on this topic) I installed it so i could work on my php sites, - wordpress, xmb board, and others, on my local machine instead of having to upload everything . What I was expecting was to be able to go, in some program (heaven forbid maybe even frontpage or html kit), and work on my pages like I would with html or css . Design / code windows for creation to preview window to see it . Can I do that? The instructions seem very geek orientated for those who know what they are doing :) Any help greatly appreciated . |
