My interpretations of the link, towards the bottom, using Point no.4, is that the customer will need to take the laptop back, lodge an application for refund -leave the laptop for assessment of it's current condition, and whether it was acceptable to be refunded upon (and hence, be sold to someone else stupid enough to buy a Warehouse laptops) |

Exchange If a product is unsatisfactory, we can offer to exchange it for another one (i.e. a different size or colour etc) or another product of the same value. Generally proof of purchase is required in order to get an exchange, although we may waive this requirement if we believe we have sold the product. Please note, as mentioned above, exchanges are not available on CDs DVDs, software and hygiene items, except where the product is deemed faulty." So it seems to me that the laptop can be returned, as long as it is undamaged and the reasons for it being unsatisfactory are explained. BTW, for $1K those laptops are not that bad... but it depends on what a person uses them for. I know a plumber - fireplace installer who has one and uses it daily, with customers, and he is happy with it. However, perhaps for a little more, maybe 100 - 300 $$, a better deal could be found. And extra RAM can always be added. |
