388489 2005-09-14 12:36:00 You can use create an entirely new document with the same content, or use an alternative style sheet. The latter is far easier, less error prone and has less duplication of effort.

However, FF and Opera will let you choose between alternative style sheets natively, but that piece of dung called IE needs a specialized script to do it. Fortunately, the script is small and easy.

Google for alternative stylesheet for how-tos and scripts.

388490 2005-09-14 13:29:00 To expand on what vinref mentioned, you can make a CSS stylesheet specific to printing, and mark it up as so so that when someone prints a page, it will be styled according to the print stylesheet. An old ALA article goes over print stylesheets (www.alistapart.com).

If your wondering "*** is CSS and stylesheets?', you might want to check that out before even worrying about how to make printer friendly pages. Thats if your even interested, heh.
