388949 2005-09-17 08:30:00 I've got a couple problems here.
The first is that, whenever i play a video file of any type, it shows the video in an extremely high contrast, or something like that - virtually black and white, with the whites blindingly bright.
However, if i play a video in one program, like Windows Media Player, and then while that's running i play a video in another player (like my DVD playing program), the second player will show the video normally. i'm baffled.

Secondly, just curious about a few programs. I googled them, but no results. I currently have running:
sufnqq.exe
stxkjd.exe
As I said, googling produced no results. They're both in the System32 folder, but i was suspicious that they didn't show up when i searched the microsoft website. Anyone know what they are?
Thanks for your help!

p.s. I've run several different virus scanning programs, and they all come up clean. Hijackthis lists sufnqq.exe and stxkjd.exe, but it also lists some other non-virus programs, so i'm not sure. I typically don't have problems with my computer - i'm very good about avoiding viruses and spyware and such - which is why i'm so baffled by the video problem.

388950 2005-09-17 08:35:00 You maybe missing codecs or something in WMP, why videos dont play so good when you use it.

Most DVD programs play videos / dvd's better than WMP. Hmm never heard of those files, you've listed. You could post a hijackthis log, it might show something nasty in it....

388951 2005-09-17 08:48:00 Well, the odd thing is, no matter what video player i use - i've tried WMP, DivX, VLC, Kazaa Lite, BearShare, every player i can think of - i still get the same problem, but only on the first video i play. Like i said, if i run a second one at the same time, it works fine.

Anyway, here's a hijackthis log:

388952 2005-09-17 09:35:00 Select these and click fix checked. Close the browsers first, then reboot.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\Sufnqq.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [version] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Stxkjd.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [secure] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Sufnqq.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KAZAA] "C:\Program Files\Kazaa Lite\kpp.exe" "C:\Program Files\Kazaa Lite\kazaalite.kpp" /SYSTRAY

I would also uninstall Bearshare and Kazza. If this isnt Kazzalite. Kaaza used to have, spyware in it.

388953 2005-09-17 10:23:00 it's kazaa lite, no problem with that in the past 2 years. bearshare isn't as good, but it hasn't caused any problems and it's the best filesharing program i've found these days. thanks for the advice! clay (8902)
