388998 2005-09-17 08:05:00 well there are those programs fro isp's that are meant to speed up loading of pages but they dont really work. best things to do are, update your modem drivers and make sure that your line is free from ticks. Prescott (11)

389001 2005-09-17 08:43:00 20% difference. I could never understand why on the very same hardware Win98SE was so much faster than Win2K until I came across this fix elsewhere and then later saw that people on PressF1 knew about it too. zqwerty (97)

Each iteration of Windows consumes more and more of your resources because it takes control of more and more of your PC. One day you'll turn the PC on and watch what it decides you will be doing that day.

Cheers :)

389004 2005-09-17 11:33:00 James do you have FreshUI on your computer? If you do there is a setting in the program which will do the same thing. zqwerty (97)
389005 2005-09-17 11:36:00 You can get FreshUI from here, you will have to give your eMail to get a password but it is a good little tweak program and worth the effort. There are other programs on offer to so make sure you get FreshUI.

That dreadful FreshDownload is still in my mind. Anyway, I am downloading FreshUI right now. Thanks for the suggestion.
