388810 2005-09-16 19:58:00 whenever I boot my comp I get an on screen message "you do not have permission to change Catalyst control settings. Consult youd administrator etc. etc."
I am my administrator!

This has just started since I got new monitor. The adjustments seem to be working OK.

Also the task bar icon has gone.

388812 2005-09-16 20:54:00 This is a known issue with the Catalyst Control Centre. There are fixes for it, but they seldom work. My suggestions...

1) Make sure you have the latest version of the MS dot NET Framework installed.

2) Uninstall Catalyst Control Centre and use ATi Tool instead, ATi Tool is by far the better out of the two. If you have ATi Try tools installed then I suggest disablinh it as it conflicts with ATi Tool.

Personally I have not had Catalyst Control Centre since version 5.6 of the Catalyst driver. I've used ATi Tool ever since and haven't had any problems in terms of tweaks.

Hope that helps.
