| 389027 | 2005-09-19 06:29:00 | I got 4.64 KBps (KiloBytes per second) 4748.99 Bps (Bytes per second) 52238.84 bps (bits per second) From that site.Is that good? Yes. I'd say so. Remember a 56k dial up is rated in bits, not bytes, so divide the theoretical maximum of 56 kilobits by 8 ( 8 bits to the byte) and you get a theoretical max of 7 kilobytes per sec. I get 3.65., but I'm out in the wops. |

| 389028 | 2005-09-19 08:29:00 | I have installed "Orcon" dial up with accelerator for a friein I am very impressed. Speeds up html & graphics (graphics are affected by it). Speeds up Email. Does not speed up secure (https) pages. On some web pages it is as fast as my 256k broadband. Speeds up AVG and Lava Addaware updates. Works on local host port 8080. |
